A two-pipe hot water system in which the water, after it has passed through a heating unit, is returned to the boiler along a direct path, so that the total distance traveled by the water, from each radiator, is the shortest feasible.

Ce type de système comprend deux conduits : un tuyau pour amener l’eau chaude aux unités terminales et un tuyau pour amener l’eau refroidie vers la chaudière. Le raccordement de retour se fait via un tuyau supplémentaire qui ramène l’eau refroidie directement vers la chaudière en empruntant un chemin parallèle au conduit d’approvisionnement. Cette configuration est difficile à équilibrer de sorte qu’il est essentiel de munir chaque corps de chauffe d’une vanne de régulation.
