Stringed instrument, basically a guitar, with raised strings, a circular metal resonator on the belly and an internal tone chamber. Often played with a bottle neck (a tube fitted on the finger). Well liked by early blues singers. Created in 1925 by two Czechoslovakian brothers, the Do Pyeras, who gave it its name.
