A "sled-dog race" is an event in "sled-dog racing", the sport. The breed of sled dog used by the Canadian Inuit, the Canadian Eskimo Dog, is back in harness, saved from extinction by a special breeding program after the snowmobile replaced dog power in the Arctic. Still, most of the dogs in sled-dog races are Siberian Huskies, Alaskan Malamutes and Samoyeds. The number of dogs in a team varies from one to nine 3, record 1, English, - sled%2Ddog%20race

2, record 1, French, - course%20d%27attelages%20de%20chiens
