ecocidio: La Fundación del Español Urgente (Fundéu BBVA), con el asesoramiento de la Real Academia Española, indica que "ecocidio" es una forma válida para referirse a un daño grave producido en los ecosistemas de un territorio y que se ha formado correctamente a partir de la combinación de los elementos compositivos "eco–" y "–cidio", con el significado de "ecológico" y "acción de matar", respectivamente.
