Environmental Protection Alternative Measures (EPAMs) are an alternative to court prosecution for a violation of CEPA 1999. Alternative measures are also found in the Criminal Code for adult offenders and under the Youth Justice Act for juveniles. Les mesures de rechange en matière de protection de l'environnement (MRPE) représentent une solution de rechange par rapport aux poursuites judiciaires intentées dans le cadre de la LCPE (1999). Des mesures de rechange figurent également dans le Code criminel pour les contrevenants adultes et la Loi sur les jeunes contrevenants pour les jeunes.
