An Athapascan tribe occupying the country w. of the Great Slave lake and upper Mackenzie r. to the Rocky mts., including the lower Liard valley, British America. Their range extends from Hay r. to Ft Good Hope, and they once lived on the shores of L. Athabasca and in the forests stretching northward to Great Slave lake.

Leur région s'étend depuis la rivière Hay jusqu'au Fort Bonne Espérance; ils vécurent autrefois sur les rives du lac Athabasca et dans les forêts qui recouvraient la partie nord, près du Grand Lac des Esclaves.
