Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat. This policy takes effect on October 1, 1990. The objectives of the Federal Identity Program (FIP) are: to enable the public to recognize clearly federal activities by means of consistent identification; to improve service to the public by facilitating access to federal programs and services; to project equality of status of the two official languages consistent with the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms and the Official Languages Act; to ensure effective management of the federal identity consistent with government-wide priorities, and to achieve savings through standardization; to promote good management practices in the field of corporate identity and information design.

Secrétariat du Conseil du Trésor du Canada. Cette politique entre en vigueur le 1 octobre 1990. Les objectifs du Programme de coordination de l'image de marque (PCIM) sont les suivants : permettre au public de reconnaître facilement les activités fédérales au moyen d'une image de marque uniforme; améliorer le service au public en facilitant l'accès aux programmes et services fédéraux; respecter le statut d'égalité entre les deux langues officielles, conformément à la Charte canadienne des droits et libertés et à la Loi sur les langues officielles; assurer la gestion efficace de l'image de marque fédérale conforme aux priorités de l'administration fédérale, et réaliser des économies par la normalisation; favoriser des bonnes pratiques de gestion dans le domaine de l'image de marque et du design.
