Rain and snow are the main forms of precipitation. There are two forms of liquid precipitation [rain, drizzle], two forms of freezing precipitation [freezing rain, freezing drizzle] and six types of frozen precipitation [snow, snow pellets, ice pellets, snow grains, ice crystal, hail].
