Très gros caillou transporté par les glaces flottantes, de taille beaucoup plus considérable que la moyenne. Les blocs démesurés ayant plus de 3 m de diamètre sont fréquents sur la rive sud du Saint-Laurent; quelques-uns de 5 m ou plus ont été observés sur le rivage actuel et dans des formations marines quaternaires (DIONNE, 1972b).
