The GPDP is open to recent graduates of Canadian universities and to employees of the Earth Sciences Sector (ESS) of Natural Resources Canada. Participants are employed for a period of two years by the ESS Management and Administrative Services. During their four training sessions, each lasting six months, they acquire skills in various disciplines of geomatics within the divisions of the Earth Sciences Sector and elsewhere. Le PPPG est accessible aux nouveaux diplômés des universités canadiennes ainsi qu'aux employés du Secteur des sciences de la Terre (SST) de Ressources naturelles du Canada. Les participants sont embauchés pour une période de deux ans par les Services de gestion et d'administration du SST. Au cours de leurs quatre stages, d'une durée de six mois chacun, ils acquièrent des compétences dans diverses disciplines de la géomatique au sein de divisions du Secteur de la Terre et ailleurs.
