L'examen capillaire qu'on fait avant d'exécuter toute tâche de coiffure a pour but : de vérifier s'il y a présence de dermatoses contagieuses ou autres infections mineures nécessitant une attention particulière; de choisir les produits cosmétiques appropriés à l'état capillaire du client et de déterminer la technique de coiffure qui convient.
