A foundry ladle supported in a ring at the centre of a long iron rod, one or both ends of which are formed into a pair of handles. It can be carried by two men, and is used in foundries for transporting and pouring molten metal.

Les poches à brancard (...) sont des poches de moyenne importance (à partir de 40kg). Le brancard le plus simple est constitué par une tige métallique portant en son centre un collier, dans lequel vient se loger la poche. Il est terminé d'un côté par un U permettant la prise des deux mains par le couleur, l'aide-couleur se contentant de la tige simple de l'autre côté.
