The Working Group on Housing and the Environment of the National Housing Research Committee first met in November 1990 to discuss key research issues related to sustainable housing and community development, to review research underway, and to identify research gaps. The purpose of the group is to help raise awareness of the issues and to encourage information exchange and co-operative research.
