[...] Cependant l'automorphisme ne constitue nullement un critère absolu d'antériorité car un minéral tardif peut prendre sa forme propre. [...] La fragilité du critère d'automorphisme comme preuve d'antériorité a été soulignée depuis longtemps par B. N. Lodotchnikoff (1927), puis par A.E. Fersman : «La question de l'ordre des cristallisations des minéraux ne peut se baser uniquement sur les caractères d'idiomorphisme» [...]
