... a comprehensive environmental strategy that recognizes the special interests of Indian peoples in the environment. To that end, the program will assist communities to develop environmental action plans to respond to environmental crises, undertake environmental assessments. Improve, living standards on reserve and participate in provincial assessment and regulatory processes. The program will also support the creation of an aboriginal environmental consultation mechanisme, the training of Indian administrators, and the development of an inventory of contaminated sites on-reserve.
