INHERENTLY DANGEROUS EXCEPTION [1 record]

Record 1 1990-02-06

English

Subject field(s)
  • Tort Law (common law)
CONT

(...) liability could be imposed for articles that were inherently dangerous to human safety or dangerous per se, such as guns, explosives and poisons. But these inadequate safeguards could not serve a burgeoning industrial society and, in 1916, the New York Court of Appeals expanded the inherently dangerous exception so as to engulf the original rule.

French

Domaine(s)
  • Droit des délits (common law)
CONT
