The instrument air system provides instrument quality compressed air to all parts of the station. There are actually a number of systems, one for the common areas of the station, and one each for the units. This air is used for control valve actuators, power operators, pneumatic controllers, and special applications in the chemistry lab and irradiated fuel bay where service air is of insufficient quality.

Le circuit d'air d'instrumentation est une source d'air comprimé de qualité alimentant les appareils distribués dans la centrale. On trouve plusieurs circuits : un pour les zones communes de la centrale et un pour chaque réacteur. L'air comprimé sert aux actuateurs des vannes de régulation, aux servomoteurs, aux commandes pneumatiques, et à des utilisations spéciales dans le laboratoire de chimie et la piscine du combustible épuisé pour lesquelles l'air de service n'est pas de qualité suffisante.
