The INSAC draws personnel from the broader Canadian intelligence community, including those involved with defence, immigration, transport, communications, customs, critical infrastructure, foreign affairs and law enforcement to prepare timely, client-focussed and value-added intelligence. The assessments produced by the Centre are then distributed to the Government of Canada and recipient departments who forward them, as appropriate, to their partners to improve warning, response and incident mitigation capabilities.

Les évaluations de la menace produites par le Centre sont diffusées au sein du gouvernement du Canada, et les ministères qui les reçoivent les acheminent ensuite, s'il y a lieu, à leurs partenaires. Ainsi, les avertissements seront plus précis, les interventions seront mieux ciblées et la capacité d'atténuation des incidents sera accrue.
