The International Conference on Fracture (ICF) is today the premier international conference on mechanics and mechanisms of fracture, fatigue and strength of solids. First held in Sendai, Japan in 1965 and at four-year intervals since then, ICF has provided an international forum for highlighting individual and national accomplishments in the general fields of fracture mechanics, material strength and structural integrity.

La Conférence internationale sur la rupture (ICF), est aujourd'hui la première conférence internationale sur la mécanique et les mécanismes de rupture, de fatigue et de résistance des solides. Tenue pour la première fois au Japon en 1965 et à tous les quatre ans par la suite, l'ICF a créé un forum international qui met en lumière les réalisations individuelles et nationales dans les domaines généraux de la mécanique de la rupture, de la résistance des matériaux et de l'intégrité structurale.
