Fisheries and Oceans Canada and the provincial BC Land Use Coordination Office work together to address developmental and environmental planning for the land and the nearshore waters of the Central Coast Region. For this purpose, the Central Coast Region extends from Cape Caution to Princess Royal Island, and includes the area on the mainland south to Bute Inlet, as well as the adjacent waters to the high tide mark on Vancouver Island.
