A type of phosphate rock consisting of pebbles of phosphatic material in a clay and sand matrix. It sometimes contains a small amount of uranium, which is recovered as a byproduct. A source of phosphate for fertilizer. Found in Florida. 1, record 2, English, - land%20pebble

Ces minerais (...) consistent en granules phosphatés, ou pebbles, noyés dans des dépôts détritiques ou résiduels, superposés aux schistes oligocènes (...). Les pebbles sont des morceaux de phosphate blanc de quelques centimètres, à teneur de 55 à 75 p. 100, enrobés dans des sables et argiles titrant 20 à 30 p. 100.
