Long-term exposure is the last classification of exposure in industrial toxicology. This exposure is not typically found in the industrial environment but is used extensively in laboratory applications. Even with novel work hours, workers rarely exceed 16 hours on the job. Therefore, long-term exposure is not as valuable in the industrial environment as it has been in laboratory testing. Long-term generally relates to exposures of greater than one year in length and is usually used in carcinogen testing of animals. 1, record 1, English, - long%2Dterm%20exposure
