Living Unit Officers, under the direction of the Living Unit Supervisor, are responsible for the security of the unit and for the care and custody of the inmates within that unit. These security duties, which must be performed in adherence to the institutional standing orders and the rules and regulations of the unit, include counts, security checks, fire checks, rounds, checks of locks and barriers, frisks, searches, key control, and removal of inmates to dissociation.
