Les chercheurs du laboratoire de J.L. Mandel à Strasbourg (INSERM,CNRS) en collaboration avec ceux du laboratoire d'Y. Agid (INSERM U 289) À l'Hôpital de la Pitié-Salpêtrière à Paris, viennent de publier dans la revue Nature (vol 378 : 403-406 du 23 XI 1995) un moyen de détecter, sur un gel d'électrophorèse, un nombre de triplets à partir duquel la pathologie se manifeste. Il s'agit d'un anticorps monoclonal qui reconnaît, sur un extrait cellulaire d'une lignée lymphoblastoïde provenant d'un patient atteint de chorée d'Huntington, un nombre de triplets supérieur de plus de 24 à celui de l'état normal.
