Treaty signed in Maastricht in 1992 by the member states of the European Community modifying and extending the old Community treaty and creating the European Union. Its objective is to advance the process of European integration, increasing the responsibilities of community institutions to strengthen and develop new or existing policies, such as transport, environmental, monetary, defence and development cooperation policies. Traité qui a créé l'Union Européenne. Signé à Maastricht en 1992 entre les pays membres de la Communauté européenne des douze, par lequel l'ancien traité est modifié, en ajoutant des compétences nouvelles et par lequel se constitue l'Union européenne. Son objectif est d'avancer dans le processus d'intégration européen par l'amplification des compétences de la communauté et le développement des politiques nouvelles ou déjà existantes comme la politique des transports, d'environnement, monétaire, de défense, et de coopération au développement. Tratado que crea la Unión Europea.
