The five mandatory CLF metadata elements must be developed for the most important resources on your department's Web site. It is the responsibility of each department to determine which are its most important resources and to decide how metadata will be linked to them. Departments are also encouraged to metatag additional resources to support gateways, clusters and other Government of Canada initiatives.
