The National Council of Visible Minorities (NCVM) was founded in 1999. It is a national organization of Visible Minority employees in Federal Public Service departments and agencies across Canada. Its vision is to be a catalyst for the advancement of Visible Minorities in a representative and inclusive public service. The mission's Council is the voice and face of Visible Minorities in the federal public service who wish to enter into a dialogue around decision-making tables on how to build a representative federal public service that enhances service to the Canadian public. Le Conseil national des minorités visibles (CNMV) est un organisme national regroupant des employés de minorités visibles qui travaillent pour la fonction publique d'un bout à l'autre du Canada. La vision du Conseil est de jouer un rôle catalyseur dans l'avancement des minorités au sein d'une fonction publique représentative et inclusive. Sa mission : Le Conseil est le porte-parole des minorités visibles de la fonction publique fédérale qui souhaitent entamer le dialogue autour des tables, là où se déroule le processus décisionnel portant sur la manière de bâtir une fonction publique fédérale représentative en vue d'améliorer la qualité des services offerts au public canadien.
