The evolution of the new royalty regime commenced at the spring of 1995 when the National Task Force on Oil Sands released a comprehensive report that outlined a detailed list of recommendations for the oil sands industry. The Task Force was formed by the Alberta Chamber of Resources in 1993. This committee consisted mainly of representatives from the oil sands industry and supporting industries, as well as representatives from both the provincial and federal governments. The Task Force proposed a generic oil sands royalty system based on a specified percentage of net project revenue after all costs are recovered. 1, record 1, English, - National%20Oil%20Sands%20Task%20Force

1, record 1, French, - Groupe%20de%20travail%20national%20sur%20les%20strat%C3%A9gies%20de%20mise%20en%20valeur%20des%20sables%20bitumineux
