OBS

This unit group includes workers who administer pre-hospital emergency medical care to patients with injuries or medical illnesses and transport them to hospitals or other medical facilities for further medical care. They are employed by private ambulance services, hospitals, fire departments, government departments and agencies, manufacturing firms, mining companies and other private sector establishments. Paramedics who are supervisors are included in this unit group.

Les ambulanciers et le personnel paramédical donnent des soins d'urgence pré-hospitaliers aux patients blessés ou malades et les transportent aux centres hospitaliers ou vers d'autres centres médicaux pour des soins plus poussés. Ils travaillent pour des services ambulanciers privés, des centres hospitaliers, des services d'incendie, des ministères et organismes gouvernementaux, des entreprises de fabrication, des sociétés minières et d'autres établissements du secteur privé.
