The Patented Medicine Prices Review Board (PMPRB) maintains the Patented Medicine Price Index (PMPI). It is an index of the manufacturers' prices for patented drugs that are reported annually to the PMPRB. The PMPI measures the average change from the previous year in the actual prices of all patented drugs sold in Canada. The index shows that the rise in patented drug prices has been less than the rise in the Consumer Price Index (CPI) in each year but one since 1987. 1, record 1, English, - Patented%20Medicine%20Price%20Index

Le CEPMB (Conseil d'examen du prix des médicaments brevetés) calcule l'Indice des prix des médicaments brevetés (IPMB). Il s'agit d'un indice des prix départ-usine des médicaments brevetés qui font l'objet d'un rapport annuel du CEPMB. L'Indice des prix des médicaments brevetés mesure la variation moyenne par rapport à l'année précédente des prix réels des médicaments brevetés vendus au Canada.
