Le cadastre est un document public qui, pour chaque commune, détermine la surface et la valeur fiscale des fonds. Il se compose de deux documents essentiels : le plan cadastral et la matrice. Le plan cadastral est un plan parcellaire. La parcelle est l'ilôt de propriété; elle désigne toute étendue continue de terrain présentant une même nature de culture ou une même affectation, appartenant à un même propriétaire et située dans un même lieu-dit. Une propriété peut être constitué de plusieurs parcelles attenantes.
