The Polar Orbiting Earth Observation Mission (Poem-1), which is a large satellite for the monitoring of the environment scheduled to be launched in 2000. The objective of the Polar Orbiting Earth Observation (Poem-1) is to develop and build a new satellite platform to accommodate Earth Observation Instruments and supply them with the necessary energy.
