porphyritique : [Se dit] d'une roche ignée ayant des gros cristaux pris dans une matrice à grains moyens(texture phanéritique). À ne pas confondre une texture porphyritique avec une texture porphyrique. La seule différence entre ces deux textures se situe au niveau de la dimension des grains composant la matrice. Pour une texture porphyritique la matrice est phanéritique alors que pour une texture porphyrique la matrice est aphanitique.
