La libération conditionnelle est une mesure d'individualisation de la peine pour les condamnés qui manifestent des efforts sérieux de réadaptation sociale.Elle correspond à la mise en liberté d'un condamné avant la date d'expiration normale de sa peine d'emprisonnement ou de réclusion, sous condition de respect, pendant un délai d'épreuve, d'un certain nombre d'obligations.
