Canadian Intergovernmental Conference Secretariat (CICS). In 1996, the federal government joined the ongoing work of the Provincial/Territorial (P/T) Council. Since then, cross-sectoral work on strengthening Canada's social union has been coordinated on two fronts - by the Provincial/Territorial Council on Social Policy Renewal and the Federal/Provincial/Territorial Council on Social Policy Renewal (F/P/T Council).
