QUARTZITIC FLAGSTONE [1 record]

Record 1 1977-11-02

English

Subject field(s)
  • Chemical Engineering
  • Geology
OBS

Quartzites form rather regular flagstone pavements over great areas in the Sahara. In some cases, the assemblage is more or less chaotic because of subsidence of an underlying unconsolidated bed (...). These quartzitic flagstones do not belong to a specific stratigraphic horizon (...). The only probable interpretation is to consider these quartzites as a surficial modification of sandy sediments.

French

Domaine(s)
  • Génie chimique
  • Géologie
OBS
