Founded in December 1948, The Association changed its name several times over the years, becoming the Quebec Outfitters Federation Inc. (QOF) in December 2002. This name was adopted for many reasons, including to raise the awareness of its clientele from Quebec, the rest of Canada and abroad about the significance of the term "outfitter". Today, the QOF, a non-profit organization recognized by the government of Quebec, is a group of 400 outfitters that share a great love of the province's wilderness areas, which they seek to promote as an easily accessible vacation destination. 1, record 1, English, - Quebec%20Outfitters%20Federation%20Inc%2E

1, record 1, French, - F%C3%A9d%C3%A9ration%20des%20pourvoiries%20du%20Qu%C3%A9bec%20inc%2E
