Based at Mount Allison University, the RSTP was established in 1984 as an independent research centre dedicated to exploring and resolving social, environmental, and economic issues facing small communities in Canada. It prepares people and organizations to adapt to change and to act on opportunities for developing sustainable rural communities and small towns.
