After making careful preparations, the operator and the RPO were able to place a shielding tunnel over the head hose. Then, by gradually pulling the camera towards them and continuously monitoring the radiation field with the survey meter, they were able to establish when the source was completely covered by the tunnel.

Après de soigneux préparatifs, l'opérateur et le responsable de la radioprotection ont pu mettre un tunnel de blindage au-dessus du tube de guidage. Ensuite, en tirant graduellement l'appareil vers eux et en contrôlant continuellement le champ de rayonnements au moyen d'un détecteur, ils ont pu établir à quel endroit le tunnel couvrait entièrement la source.
