Bordures arbustives. On peut concevoir deux catégories de bordures : a) Celles qui sont de dimensions petites ou moyennes ne possèdent pas une végétation d'une régularité parfaite et forment transition avec les haies et les massifs; b) Celles qui sont de hauteur très réduite, très régulières, destinées à encadrer et à limiter nettement d'autres éléments du jardin comme les plates-bandes, par exemple. Les premières peuvent être constituées d'arbustes appartenant à de nombreuses espèces; les plus intéressantes sont cependant les bordures fleuries unicolores formées d'une seule variété.
