In 1997, a consultation process with disabilities organizations to develop a new funding regime was launched. The resulting Social Development Partnerships Program was launched on April 1, 1998. Le Programme de partenariats pour le développement social qui en a résulté est entré en vigueur le 1er avril 1998.
