The Saskatchewan Archaeological Society, the second largest provincial archaeological organization in Canada, is one of the most active and effective voluntary archaeological organizations on the continent, promoting public education and research, and advocating for conservation. Founded in 1963, the Society is an independent, non-profit organization governed by a board of volunteers and staffed by two persons. Both Amateur, or avocational, and professional archaeologists comprise our membership.
