There are basically three cases where a return might be made other than in the normal course: (1) on the death of a nominated candidate; (2) where there has been a delay in the official addition due to the loss of ballot boxes;or inability to obtain poll statements and (3) following an official recount where the result in the original writ as returned has been changed.
