Le mode [...] standard permet l'acquisition d'images sur une grande gamme d'angles d'incidence acquis avec 7 modes différents, de S1 à S7. Les angles d'incidence varient entre 20° à la limite interne du faisceau S1, à 49° à la limite externe du faisceau S7. L'expérience acquise avec RADARSAT-1 a démontré que le mode standard génère des images qui offrent un bon compromis entre la résolution spatiale, la résolution radiométrique et le taux de couverture.
