OBS

Cette expression figure sur nombre de boîtes, de bouteilles, etc. Elle est souvent traduite par "agiter avant usage", ce qui incite l'usager à secouer l'ensemble de l'emballage. Ce geste est néfaste dans le cas de certaines colles ou résines, l'agitation ayant laissé au fond du récipient le produit actif.

OBS

Remuer ou brasser auraient été meilleurs que agiter, mais ils ne conduisent pas à agir de la façon exacte qui convient, aussi bien que "touiller", qui doit être employé malgré ses connotations familières. Homogénéiser aurait été acceptable, mais il ne serait compris que d'un nombre plus réduit de personnes.
