When several dimensions emanate from a common reference point or line, the method is called common-point dimensioning ... Dimensioning from reference lines (base or origin lines) may be executed as parallel dimensioning or as superimposed running dimensions ... Superimposed running dimensioning is simplified parallel dimensioning and may be used where there are space problems ... The origin is indicated by a circle and the opposite end of each dimension is terminated with an arrowhead.
