... titanium foam is made by mixing titanium powder with a polymer, and then adding foaming agents that expand the polymer when heated. La mousse de titane est produite à partir d'une poudre métallique, par un procédé ayant déjà fait ses preuves pour la production industrielle de filtres céramiques : des mousses en polyuréthane (PU) sont imprégnées d'une solution de liant et d'une fine poudre de titane. La poudre se fixe alors sur la structure cellulaire des mousses.
