The United Nations Mission in Bosnia and Herzegovia (UNMIBH) is the mission which grew out of the Dayton Peace Agreement and has as its main components the UN-International Police Task Force (IPTF), Civil Affairs and Mine Action Centre (MAC). UN-IPTF, as the civilian police component, monitors the compliance by competent authorities of the two entities with civic and human rights standards as far as policing in concerned, and provides guidance for the police structures and operations. The overall aim of the mission is to promote reconciliation between civilians of all communities, to monitor political developments and inform the Secretary-General, the Security Council and the High Representative, and to assist in clearing the country mines. 1, record 1, English, - United%20Nations%20Mission%20in%20Bosnia%20and%20Herzegovina

La Mission des Nations Unies en Bosnie-Herzégovine (MINUBH) créée en 1995 à la suite de l'Accord de paix de Dayton, se compose principalement du Groupe international de police des Nations Unies (GIP), du Bureau civil des Nations Unies et du Centre d'action antimines (MAC). En tant que force de police civile, le GIP veille à ce que les autorités compétentes des deux entités respectent les normes relatives aux droits civiques et aux droits de la personne en ce qui concerne le maintien de l'ordre et donne des avis touchant les structures et les opérations policières.
