After the signing of the Paris Agreements on 23 October 1991, UNTAC was established and replaced United Nations Advanced Mission in Cambodia (UNAMIC). The mission consisted of 7 distinct components: human rights, electoral, military, civil administration, civilian police, repatriation and rehabilitation. Although each component had specific roles, UNTAC's main task was to hold a free and fair election in Cambodia and to give its people the tools to build a stable and peaceful future. On 4 November 1993, the Security Council noted that the goal of the Paris Agreements had been reached with the conclusion of the UNTAC's mission. 4, record 1, English, - United%20Nations%20Transitional%20Authority%20in%20Cambodia

4, record 1, French, - Autorit%C3%A9%20provisoire%20des%20Nations%20Unies%20au%20Cambodge
