A vertical seismic profile (VSP) survey can be useful for obtaining subsurface structural information in the immediate vicinity of the borehole. Le levé du profil sismique vertical (PSV) est effectué dans le but d'obtenir des données précises sur le rapport entre le temps et la profondeur après le forage de chaque puits jusqu'à la profondeur cible (là où des réserves d'hydrocarbures devraient être présentes). Cela permet de mettre en corrélation les données sismiques (consignées en mesures de temps) avec la profondeur des puits (consignée en mètres [m]). Le levé du PSV consiste à déployer une source sonore à partir de l'installation de forage ou le navire d'appoint, et à placer des capteurs à différents niveaux dans le trou de forage pour mesurer le temps de propagation du son. 4, record 1, French, - lev%C3%A9%20de%20profil%20sismique%20vertical
